All I know is ...when i dropped my cat back and just left the stock manifolds with my catted bassani x pipe my damn mustang sounded so bada$$ it seriously is loud .. but it sounded so good ... if it didn't rattle everything apart inside of my car .. I'd have kept it just like thatbut with longtubes and a catless H .. I'm afraid it would simply be too loud to run on a daily basis ...

4.6's sound like azz stright pipes! They sound like giant ricers. Its still a little tiny engine by v-8 standards and thats why it doesnt sound good. Only 350's and bigger sound good straight pipe. But i was suprised how bad it sounded even with LT's and and O/R Mac X pipe. People just run around with no mufflers and go straight pipes and i think it sounds like Shiite

When installing the prochamber on to my buddies 02 we started it up and sounded ok but i liked the sound better with just the prochamber on. Another one of my buddies has a 95 Lt1 camaro and he runs open headers all the time and its F'IN amazing!! Soo loud it makes u want to punch a baby!

To me, there's a HUGE difference, and a fine line between an OHC engine and a OHV engine.. In fact, I can't personally compare the 2, since they sound different at WOT, w/ or w/o Opened-up exhaust.. Personally, I'd rather have something to baffle the sound... But, it does sound cool blipping the throttle a couple times..
