Ilove mustangs and everythingbut fordtheir starting to **** me off.I feel like ford is so far behind chevy i mean think about it 99-04 gt 260hp 05+ gt 300hp 03-04 cobra 390hp with blower whats it without the blower. The new gt500 has a blower which gives you 500hp. The new vettes dont and if they did it would be pushing over 600hp. The 95 camaro would kill the 95 gt the 2002 ls1 maro will beat the new gt th 01 cobra and the 04 gt. And they stopped making them almost 5 years ago if they were still in production bet you they would be pushing over 400 hp. And ford down graded from a 5.0 to a 4.6 and went with 5.4 with the gt500 and roush. Chevys using like 5.7, 6.0 lt i feel like fords loosing it does any else feel this way. It kind of pisses me off i mean i hear the new camaro will have 6.0 and the new vettes if not already will have 7.0 and ford is still making a little 4.6 for some of their cars.I dont know maybe its just me.

Mustangs were not built to be the fastest cars out there. They maybe a second slower in the 1/4 then the camaro but at least they will still be running aferwards. Performance comes at a price and that is what killed the f bodys. Everyone knows that the mustang gt may have been fords flagship model but it is the v6 mustang that makes them money.

I second that on the longevity, anyone remember the origanal Calloway Vette? certified 200 mph from the factory, but 201 mph and the engine blew. And the Fords will always be easier to work on, Find all 8 plugs on a camaro with the naked eye.

yeah how are those Camaro's and Firebirds selling...oh thats right they aren't!!! They have great engines but the rest of the car is a POS....thats why they didn't sell. With the Mustang you get a much better car at a lower price that can be made fast. Maybe GM will make a better quality product this time around and they will stick around, i personally hope so because i would buy i new Camaro with a 6.0 LSx making 400-500hp NA but only if the rest of the car is as nice as the engine.
