Default Putting the car on 4 jack stands

Okay, so what's the easiest way? Ford says not to jack the car up by the differential, which makes it impossible to jack the back up, both sides at the same time, with one jack. So what's the best method? I'm going to be changing my mid pipe and cat back next week and I want to get the car up on 4 jack stands. Is my best bet to just use 2 jacks, one on each side, and jack them both up at the same time? I can't believe they wouldn't give you a single jack point in the middle at the back, but I've seen the diagrams before and apparently there is not. Just curious what other people have done, because I know some people say they have jacked it up by the diff before with no problem, but for those of you who like doing everything perfect like me and don't like to take chances, what the hell is the best method?[&:]

Well I jack up my dad's Shelby Cobra by the differential all the time. It's differential is from a 95 5.0 GT. I don't think there's anything wrong with it. Although the cobra is only 1900 lbs...lol.

You gonna donate the lift for my garage?

Thanks for the input so far guys. I'll see if I get any more, and if not, I'll try to do it with two jacks first, and if that proves to be too much of a hassle I guess I'll just go for the pumpkin.

If you were around northwest florida I'd let you bring it into the shop and use it.

Ive never had any issues with jacking the car up by the diff. I wouldn't let it stay on the jack for a long period of time (which youre not). Just get it up and slide the stands under it and let it back down.

Yeah, sounds like what I'll probably end up doing. I don't even know if I can get enough room on the passenger side of the car to fit a jack in, it'll be pretty close to the garage wall.

If you don't know anyone with a bigger garage it may be worth taking to an exhaust shop. Shouldn't cost but 50 or 60 buck for them to hang it. You already have the parts I'm assuming.
