What would it take to get a 98 GT into the 12's without using nitrous, or any forced induction?

Not to be a smartass, but a new motor. See if you can locate a decent 99-04 (PI) engine and then look at the sticky above the 4.6 board. I just don't see how it could be done without alot of money and time. Forced induction or giggle gas is probably the only way to do it and then you might only be able to get mid-low 13's. The non-PI 4.6 heads just aren't good for making a ton of horsepower.

PI swap, cams, and good suspension can get you into the high 12's since you already have LT's etc...if you can drive.

Cool. Thanks guys. Haha. I have ported and polished PI heads, done by Powerheads(stage 2)..awaiting install. I've got the PI intake manifold with alluminum crossover. Pretty much the only thing I need is cams. I know I'm going with .550", but maybe higher. Not too sure yet. What doyou guys think I should do about the bottom end. Just run the stocker for a while? Stroker? Forged?

Just forge it, strokers are overrated on the 4.6 2V.
