ORIGINAL: eventer289

I bought some 1000 grit sand paper to start with, then I have 1500 and 2000 to finish it off. I hope it all goes well.
thats how i did it on my 99 contour when i had it, worked great. i might have used metal polish to finish? cant remember for sure tho it was a few years back.

the headlights on my 04 gt have a clear coat on them.... i didn't think it at first, but i typically wash the car with a pressure washer to get the bugs off the front bumper without scrubbing and scratching it, and anyways... the headlights are flaking and peeling on the sides, over the amber side markers.... and the car has not been re-painted or dipped in extra clear coat, so I don't know on that one....

sticky
