Default quick advice plz

im about to go to the track with a kid i know and his friends, he has a camaro ss with slp....i have a 03 gt auto bonestock....well if you want to count the 1/2 horse from the k&n filter you can...my question isnt will i beat the kid my question is what times should i expect? it's about sea level and the car will be hot by the time i get there, its about 60 degrees outside. not the best driver but its auto so heh....also, what are some tips for running if i do go? launching etc....will i stay in the 14s or should i have to worry about the dredded 15[:@]....also, insurance doesnt cover your car if you're on the track, right? THANKS!!

go around the water spin ur tires a lil to get the dirt, etc. off dont burn them it wont help at all on regular radials. if u do that the i'd say if u can try to leave without spinnin, featheronly as much as needed to not spin(dunno if auto's do never drove an auto gt)then you should go mid-high 14's but if u mess up at all plan on a 15 at least once. o and if u have never done it u will mess up, we all do at first.

Sounds like you got it. You should pull a 14.5-14.8. And no, insurance does not cover anything that happens inside the gates of the track. Have fun man. If you want more feedback post this in Street/Strip. It will prolly get moved there anyways
