i just bought comp cams 270 cams and i am wondering how to time them. should i buy timing gears orcut the key way take it to a shop.what to do can someone please help me out.

i would suggest that you leave it to the pros if you are in over your head, cams arent something i would half ***.

+1 million - pay for it now if you're not sure - dont pay for more later.

i know a ford tech that comes into my work all the time he knows how to time the 4.6's but i dont know if he can degree the timing so do you guys think i should take it to a shop and have it done

you have to buy the new cam gears if your car is an earlyer model and came with the pressed on cam gears.

i know the cam gears are not pressed on becuase they just came off when i took the bolt off the old came. if i am goin to buy adjustable cam gears do i have to buy the lower steeda adjustable one or just the upper ones??
