I believe a 2 valve 99-04 with stock cams max hp is at 4500rpm
Thats not true, i made 234rwhp stock at 5400rpm and with full bolt ons and l/t i made power to 6,000rpm. New setup going for 6900
thats strange... I make my max hp at 5500rpm with my stage 1 cams... I will find a stock gt dyno chart. When I was shoping for cams I remember looking in MMFF and the cams I got increased about 1000rpm over stock at the looks of the dyno charts. Heres the Fox Lake racing web site, they compaired a stock 02 gt vs it with the p-51 intake. Looks like max hp is at about 4800rpm.

Im looking at different pages and everyone seems to have different results... it doesnt really matter. just get it dynoed and then you can find how your car responds.
The NPI cars peaked at around 4500.. the PI cars will peak around 5500 or so and then rapidly fall off.

My stage 2s with the stock engine (valvesprings and cams only) pulled/pulls all the way to redline (before/after the blower). That was the only really good part about the cams, I was making 30 more WHP at 6000 RPM than before. I still peaked around 5500 or so but the car was flat all the way out to 6K.

hmm I was asking about 4V Machs, which have a fairly high redline
Redline=6800
Max hp=6000
Max Tq=4250

So shift around 6 in 1st gear, then push it to redline for the rest?
^ For when racing, I mean....

Ifa NPI maxes out at around 4500, shouldnt you be shifter at redline so when the revs drop in the next gear your back at around where it makes all the power.

Shift points are different for just about every car, depending on the mods, if any, gears and tire size. If you have had it dynoed you should be able to read the sheet and try to find that " happy median" between Hp and TQ so you don't go to far out of your power band, good luck.
