Default Fuel Problems!

so when i started my car cold today and tried to start driving after about a minute. i was just accelerating light out of my driveway...not shifting over like 1800 or 2000 rpms...but the air/fuel gauge started to show that the car was leaning out while i was giving it gas. the meter went over to like 17ish and it wasnt just a misreading...i could feel the car bogging down. is it because of my MAF? it was fine after i let it sit for like 5 mins...but it was weird and kinda freaked me out. didnt seem good for the car at all. anybody else ever have this problem? do i just need to let it sit to warm up before i drive it? any help is greatly appreciated.
