Well, it's been a long road but it's finally happening. Step 2 of my 5.4 project is here. I just bought a Vortech V2 SQ s/c kit! I am soooo fricking excited it's not even funny. Now I have to wait all winter to drive the car again. I hope MF's is ready for it's first centr. s/c 5.4 mustang cuz it's finally going to happen.[8D] Now all I need is about $10k to finish the car the way I want it and it'll be good.

You're putting the 5.4 in your 96 GT, or is it already in there, or is it going in a totally different car?

I'm in the process of putting the 5.4 into my 96GT right now. As the car sits now it's just a bolt on 4.6(boring). Well actually somewhere in the middle.

Well I'm still going to be on a stock short block so the numbers won't be to crazy, but I'm hoping for a nice torque band.

Is there any way you can stop the SQ order?

I would definatly be looking into a T trim upgrade. I was told that some shops will ugrade you do a T for like 300 bucks or something. With the extra CI of the 5.4 I would think the T would be more appropriate?

The SQ can support alot of horsepower, but if its going in a 5.4, espcially one that will eventually be built up, I would definatly be getting a T.
