Default CD ERROR on 6 disc player

When I was switching some CDs from the stock in-dash 6 CD player I got a "CD ERROR" message and now I can't play, eject or insert any CDs. The regular AM/FM stereo still works.
Any suggestions?
If I just disconnect the battery for a few minutes, might that clear the error??? Or do I have to pull the entire unit out to see what's going on.

IS there a CD stuck in the unit?

I used to take another CD and push the stuck cd back in or to pull it out.

That be the answer!!! Just a little gentle pushing and I got the stuck one moving and we're back in the music business.
Thanks Dan

Mine usually does it when I use the CD player for a long time. It almost always gets stuck on slot 4. But like Dan said I just use an old CD to push it in and it pops right out.

Watch out if you'r playing CD-R's some brands are THICKER than others... & that's why they can get stuck in the player. I've found Fuji & Memorex brand CD-R's seem to work fine, probably some other brands will too. But the really cheap flea market no-name blank CD-R's are ususally the "thick" ones that will get stuck

Sometimes I get the CD error when I push theCD button, but it isn`t stuck. If I push it again, it will play. Also alot of times it will just skipforwardwhile a song is playing, evenwith new CD`s.Sometimes it just goes to the next song for no reason. I think it`s just a POS. [&:]
