Are you referring to 96 4.6 cobra??If you are the 96 cobra stock for stock is quicker than a 94 cobra.I would think with 2 good drivers equally probally about .3-.5 tenths in 1/4 mile.

A '94 cobra will dust off a '96 GT because that era of 4.6's were dogs. Slow as hell.

The 5.0 Cobra is a joke. The best part about the '93 Cobra is the brakes. The '94 Cobra only makes 240 HP and 285 ft. lbs. of torque. A '96 GT with PI heads will dust one off easy enough. If you want a Cobra, DOHC Cobra is the only way to go. Unless of course you want a '93 for collector value.

94 Cobra will not beat a 96 Cobra...There's nearly 6-8 Tenths of a second difference...The 94 cobra happens to be a high 14 second car and the 96 Cobra usually run about 14 flat. It's not even close. The 93 cobra runs on average 14.4-14.5...I'm not doggin you JD...Just correcting you.

ya, a 94cobra wuld get wrecked by a 96cobra, my friend has a stock 96cobra and when i had just an x pipe w/ flowmasters, he took me by a car length on the street.

Actually that 240 was under rated for insurance reasons... The actualy power output of a stock cobra is 275 hp. Think about it, how can a 5.0 Cobra that has Gt40 heads, a Cobra Upper/Lower (Same power rating as GT40 intake), Cobra Specific Camshaft, and a hotter computer tune only come up with 240 hp???

Im not jumping on anyones sh*t but dont go around saying someones ride is a joke, I really enjoy my car and it will run with the best of em. All I have done to my car is 3.73 rear end and a short throw. My friend has a low 14 second GT and I handed his *** to him the other night. And I guess everyone is a ****ty driver around here because Ive been outrunning the 99+ Gts too. Not saying my car is the fastest by anymeans, but come on, give it a little respect . A good complete PI head kit will run around $1300-2600 depending on what you want! I can stroke my car to a 331, get a better hydraulic roller cam, brand damn new forged pistons, connector rods, and a pair of Victor Jr. Cylinder heads for around 1000-1200. As far as putting PI heads on a 4.6 Gt and smoking a 5.0 Cobra. Let me put my stroker kit in this thing, and you can have all the PI heads you want, if I still cant catch you for some strange reason, Ill just use my NX Fogger system that installed from the money I saved [sm=smiley15.gif].
