Default Difference between heads??

I was looking at Patriot heads for my 2002 GT. What is the difference between stage II heads and stage III heads? Im not familiar with the tech lingo, its greek to me. the stage II's are 1,200 and the stage III are 1,450...which ones would be best to get. I would be N/A for about another 6 months and then get a supercharger if i went this route....

The ability to flow more air. Check out the Patriot website. They have flowcharts on all their heads. I have stage 3's and they are nice. They dont really flow THAT great, but its alot better than stock. Swap to a 4v fast as you can. 2V heads are crap.Aftermarket, Stock, PI, NPI, ported and polished, any way you wanna spell it. Its really sad.

Patriot recommends stage II unless your block is bored at least .020. The flow rates are from a slightly larger intake runner. The exhaust ports are the same on stage 2 and 3.

Yeah, but unless he rebuilds the bottom end, 'up top' is going to be out of reach. He's still limited my those ****ty stock internals.

Question: Why stage II heads and stage III cams, matt?
