Cold start problem

Cold start problem
My 04 GT starts a little rough when it has been sitting overnight. It will turn over strong, but doesn’t fire up for a few seconds, and sometimes seems like it doesn’t fire very strong. Has anyone seen this? I don’t have any mods.

RE: Cold start problem
man a 04 and it is having problems already i would say that might be your imagination or you got a lemon. Where are you located? I would say that you might have gotten bad gas. Nothing other then that should be already going wrong in an 04. I would say that you take it to the dealer and have them look at it. That is still in the warranty. Other then that that thing should not be doing anything wrong already.

RE: Cold start problem
this may sound weird but i got a gel battery but it had 720 cold cranking amps as aposed to the stock 540 and mine starts up in the moring like a champ no matter how cold and i have noticed no other problems with the electricial from the added juice also they hold a charge longer than the stocker

RE: Cold start problem
yeah mine does the same thing. it is kind of embarassing sometimes. I only let it crank a few seconds and stop. And if it doesnt fire, the split second I hit the key again it does. [sm=dontgetit.gif]

RE: Cold start problem
Do you have LT headers? I have had some problems if the car hasnt been started in awhile after I installed LTs. The problem was really bad when I had a bad tune on my chip that was forcing the A/F way to high.
Mine would start, and then misfire if you got into the gas. You had to wait a few seconds before it would warm up and start running good.
