Default I need some math help PLEASE

Ok I have a 2000 GT and at 12,000 miles I had the gears changed to 3.73’s I now have 58,110 showing for my mileage. My? is how many miles do I actually have on my car?

Thanks in advanced.

I think when u put on new gears your speedometer reads you are going faster than you are and you put imaginery miles on your car. That is why you need to get a tuner.

let me take a shot at this...assuming you didn't recalibrate the spedo (like me)

12,000 w/ 3.27s= 12k miles so far...

change to 3.73 for (58110-12000=) 46,110 miles

Cool...You ran 46,110 'miles' since the gear swap...

now: 3.73/3.27=1.1406...so

46110 / 1.1406= 40426.09

Finally, 40,426.09+12000=52426.09 miles

so you got about 52.4k miles

No prob. You should get a tuner soon though and set the gear ratio to about a 5.14 or something lol for at least a few months to balance out the mileage...eh that may be illegal but **** it I might do that too.
