Do my numbers not make sense to you either?
Well the point was brought up last night that my car does not make power very high on the tach.
Check out the sheet on the other thread.
I make max power at 5950rpm and max tq at 4500rpm. Doesnt that sound a little low for Stage 3 heads, and comp 270's? I didnt really notice until then. Whats the deal?

Initially, it does seema little odd, but the operating range of the 270s is 1800 to 5800. They are more like a stage 1.5 really. I think your numbers are correct. The heads may have dropped them a little, but essentially, they seem about right.

its the stroker, it kills the high end power...nobody ever listens but if you search around you would know why people don't do strokers on 2V's like they do with 5.0's...A stroker will give you a small gain in TQ down low but will lose HP in the upper RPM's...these engines need more bore not stroke to make power.

He can't run a centri.. . he has a high compression shortblock assembly.
Didn't you say your running a set of stock manifolds still?

Edit: same thing for hte shorties, could be killing top end power?>
