I run the fuel cutoff at 6250 and try to shift at 6000 RPM. The PI 4.6L should peak around 5500 stock, but you need to take it past that or when you shift to the next gear it will drop down too far in the RPM band and fall out of the powerband.
I am running aftermarket valvesprings, but so far as damage occuring I think your pretty safe. Considering I am running a FI engine (and RPM kills FI engines) 6250 shouldn't throw a rod or anything stupid.

With a twin-screw, I'm not worried about dropping out of the power band. And no, I'm notlooking for another centri vs t/s debate... just poking fun =)

I shift at 6k when I'm racing or romping on it. My fuel cutoff is at 6500 though, my tuner suggested I keep it higher because if I were to hit the fuel cutoff while in full boost at 6200rpm or something I would blow up the motor. Lots of forced air + complete cutoff of fuel = KABOOOOM!!!!!!!!

When you say the "fuel cutoff" are you talking about the revlimit option like say on the SCT tuner. Where you can go in and tweek the tune (user adjustability)? Just wanna make sure I'm on the same page of music. Thanks.

max TQ is 4000 RPM for stock GT and max power is 5250 RPM unless you have cams or other mods know real need to go beyond 5250 but you will be ok at 5900 RPM you just won't gain any more power much beyond 5250
