Default Uh oh, bad compression

ok uy6s, i decided to do a compression test cause i was burning some oil, didn't see any smoke but i would add oil every 2 weeks maybe, and there are no leaks, never saw any ofter letting it sit for 3 days. so cylinder 5, was at 75 psi, and 2 other cylinders tested at 95 and the reest were between 120 and 125 psi. and ideas where i can find a kit that has, something like a rebuild kit, like rings, and gaskets and what not, just to redo all the seals, i'll be dong this in february in my autos class, so i'll have plenty of working room and all of the necessary tools i need to tear apart the whole block and redo everything, thanks for your help,

also, if anyone has any pi pistons or forged rods and pistons lemme know, thanx guys

well spray a lil oil in those cyl. to see if the psi changes.....does this car smoke any when you let off the gas..you will need someone to ride behind you to see.. you may have some blow-by...

hey vfast, yea i did a wet compression test that same day and it did read higher, a hell of a lot higher, around 145 ish, and surprisingly, the only time ive ever seen smoke come from the tailpipes is after we did the wet test the excess oil burnt up and gave us smoke, but i did what you suggested and nothing showed up, so as of right now, im looking for some new rings or a kit to re-do all of the seals on the engine, that should fiz the problem, im sure the car could benefit from it though, get a chance to clean it up a little bit too, the inside i mean

if the engine has a lot of miles on it you should also get it bored and centered too. just the rings wont help if the cylinder walls are old.

bt thats the thing, ive never heard of a car with 80000 miles on it needing to have the engine torn apart because it is starting to fail already.

80,000 is a little low to need a teardown, but how hard of a life has the poor thing seen?It could be rough walls due to a broken ring or dirt getting in somehow.
