They are the best heads available for 2V's BUT if you don't change the stock NPI Intake and cams then you won't gain much at all.

It would be recommended to do a complete PI swap as the benefit is more than just the heads. The cams and intake make a huge differnce along with the heads. The 96-98's with the PI swap are much stronger than the stock 99+ PI GT's because the 96-98's have a higher compression piston set up. With the swap you'll be about 10.3:1, which will make the car pull like and animal with some gears and exhaust. Most of the cars we've dyno'd pick up and easy 70 HP making them sleepers as most pick on the 96-98's as an easy target. Go for the swap, you'll love it!

well if you get the FRPP heads and intake you'll have a much better setup than any PI swap, I've been told you can port the heads up to 300cfm, compared to low 200's you can port a normal PI head i believe

The only reason I dont do the swap is because the comp increase does not allow for supercharging. So you gain 70 hp but are then stuck until you do the bottom end. Even P&Pd' PI heads with stg1 cams will get 100 hp maybe. So now the car is at 300rwhp. If you keep the stock heads, use the pi manifold, some blower cams, and a vortech you can be at 360+ .and still have room to grow later if you want
If I am wrong about this PLEASE let me know, because that is what I am planning and if you can school me with a better way, I would be in debted to ya. Have a happy new year.

no he's talking about the SVO/FRPP Heads and Intake...they are much better then PI heads Intake but more expensive and getting hard to find. Ford no longer sells the install kit for the SVO/FRPP Intake so getting parts can be a PITA...but some of the Bullit intake parts can be used.

You got that right. I dropped the frpp thing because they are getting hard to find, I tried Houston Performance and even the guy there said good luck. I had a line on the svo intake but the install kit was like hens teeth to find so I went to plan B.

You can supercharge any engine. It will just require a better tune with higher octane.
