Default Low 1/4 MPH?

Ive been looking at this site and it seems that my mph in the 1/4 is low compared to everyone else.. I ran a 13.9 which i thought was pretty good for a stock susp. and futura tires, but my mph was 97.It seems like everyone else is at like 99-100.Just curious if anyone else thinks this is low.Mods are in my signature.

That might be a tad low. What is your 60ft? What is your 1/8 mile times and traps?

Maybe you are just a touch slow shifting? Now sure man. MANY variables have to be taken into account for comparing times. Where do you live?

My 60' is 2.100 and my 1/8 is 9.06 @ 78.03mph.This was at mason-dixon dragway near the pa/maryland border.

Sounds like your car isn't pulling very well. Does it feel sluggish in the upper rpm band? Since you have dyno numbers, did you get a tune as well? The answer may be here.

I had the opposite problem with my '71. 13.4 @ 115 mph. Nothing off the line, but she'll run ya down. Haven't run it with the new gears/tranny/engine, though.

yes, i did get a tune on the dyno. This has me thinkin a little bit now.All 3 times i ran my mph was 96-97 so it wasnt just an error on that run.

Idk that does seem a little strange, but with the mods in your sig its possible for you to be running more like 13.6 I would think, Im sure I'll be corrected if im over-estimating here

If I was shifting like grandma how would that explain a faster time than you with virtually the same mods except you have 4.10's

Umm, The only thing I can think of is a slow shift. Those 1/8 and 1/4 times are right on with each other. The 1/8 mile trap is a couple mph off, and soo is the 1/4. Work on your shifts.

Nice times tho man. Get some suspension work and tires. You will be ALOT deeper in the 13's.

Strange that you are getting a fairly crappy 60' and still getting a low trap time with a low MPH. Something doesn't seem right.

What RPM are you shifting at?
