I actually test drove an LS1 camaro, well my boss over the summer let me have one for the weekend. It's definatly quicker than my 00gt... but thats about it if your going for all power camaro is the choice.. but overall driving expierence, comfort, sound, and looks are all much better in the stang.. in my opinion.

The worst part about the camaro is... i do a lot of highway driving and the blindspot is huge.... those little back windows on the stang are good.

If i was to get an LS1 id get a ws6. I drove them around all summer... i worked in the pontiac department outa of the chevy/caddy/pontiac. There was a black (later model) ws6 6speed.... oh man it was nice like 7k miles. Asking price was f'in insane though.

Also the GTO sucks.. its a piece... my boss drove one for like 2 weeks put it back and went back to his T/A.

Yea, don't give up man. You can always get every bolt on imagineable. Slap on a blower and some sticky tires and run in the mid 12's. Think of all the money you'd save going this route.

Or you could get an LS1, put on some sticky tires and throw in a gear and see mid 12's all day. It's up to you.

What if someone wanted a new car? That makes the choice even easier.

I'd rather push a Ford then drive a Chevy...

No not really but you get my point. Oh and I wouldn't call 245 wide Nitto's "sticky" tires - but I see your point.

haha, david vs goliath huh? and about the 3.90s i think i saw that strange sells them, thrown some gears on a ls1 and runnin 12s sounds soo good to me, but my dad was like after all the time and money uve put into this car ur going to get rid of it and u havent had it more than six months! and after some thought, i think ill wait till i finish UTI and start workn for a dealer or somthn, that way i can afford to have both cars!!! that wuld be real sweet. but for now it looks like jus savin up for some gears in order to run 13s!

are you outta your mind dude. i've seen FULL bolt-on n/a 4.6s w/ pi heads run 12's w/ very sticky tires. all it takes is the right suspension to put it down bro. and last time i checked you could find a nice non-pi 4.6 gt for $6000-$7000. even w/ all the bolt-ons and suspension, you'd still be ahead price-wise of an ls1 owner. plus there's a pride us ford guys have in MAKING something fast rather than buying a car that someone (GM) made fast for you. i think alotta people think that same way...why is it that they don't make f-bodies anymore???? but i do give those ls1 owners who mod their own motors props....how the hell do you guys work on a motor that's half outta your sight and under the wiper cowl??? Later

First On Race Day
