2000GT4.6 -

When I first got there for a baseline run, they came right out and said "on a stock tune it can be hard to nail the exact horsepower on a dyno with an automatic transmission....once you get a tune with everything set, it is more consistent...."

Like they started the runs really from 3rd gear and slowly accelerated to where it shifted automatically at 4400rpms....if they just floored it, the numbers would be waaay off and my tourque would have spiked....guess thats what i get for having an auto...but im still happy

Hmmm

So in other words, its entirely possible that you acuatlly made quite a bit more power with the stock tune?

I am sure it made a massive difference with your automatic's shifting, but I would not expect to make even 5 WHP with the tune itself (engine only) unlesssomething was really throwing the a/f ratio off.

AllI was saying was the handheld comes with a generic tune, and you can probably make just as much (or close) horspower with that as a custom one if you only have a bolton or two.
