Great choice on the KB (I'm jealous). The pedal feel can tell you a bit about the condition of the the clutch and it's components and so can pulling it off and looking at it. I'm at 60,000 miles on the stock clutch and I've heard of them lasting to 100,000. It's all in how you drive the car. With a KB you could probably kill it with one launch. If you have the $, just replace it anyway. That's what I'd do....

hard to explain - like the first 500 miles on my clutch and flywheel.. the car shook like a son of a bi*tch unless i revved it up to 2500 out of first, and even did it on 3rd to 2nd and 2nd to 1st down shifts... but thats really stopped now, I have around a few thousand miles on the clutch now.. and the only time it pulls that is when im in bumper to bumper traffic and im idling with the clutch 1/2way down the whole time... or when I dont launch right... i would recommend a new imput shaft though and go with a 26 spline... it'll cost a couple hundred more... but if you plan on makiing serious power it'll save you in the end...

Definitely replace the clutch. My s/c murdered the stock clutch after a few months and it had less miles on it than yours.

Several to go with that setup. King Cobra, Spec, Zoom,Ram, Hayes and the list goes on. Bottom line is you'll almost definitely need to upgrade from the stocker

i have never been to the track but do street race every once in awhile= 0-60 pretty much do u think my clutch will last a few months till i can save up for another? and does ur clutch break or wear down or just will not catch the gear like what will happen and will i be without a car for awhile if my clutch goes?

the clutch is a wear and tear item.. basically it wears down... the torque is what kills the clutch - not the horsepower... most clutches are torque rated.... if you are running high torque on that clutch - and you slam it from 0-60 you will hear it go boom. The hardest on a clutch is how well you grip..
