new 4.6 owner
ok, i just got myself into a solid '02 mustang gt and had a few questions. im an old hotrod guy, so these newer cars are kind of intimidating. what mods do you recommend i make right off the bat? im pretty set on installing some 3.73's or 4.10's. i was wondering if any of you guys had done this mod and wanted to know if you could share some 1/4 mile time differences with me.

my car, with a k&n, air lid removal, steeda udp's, timing adjuster at 16*, o/r x and mac40's, with 4.10's runs a 13.2 with good street tires. last time i went to the track and got 13.8 on some ****ty avions.
anyways, 4.10's are great for an all motor mustang, 3.73 if you wanna go the s/c route.

MGW short throw
3.73 or 4.10 gears (personal preference on this really)
CAI
Lowering springs
catback
midpipe
tuner w/ custom tune
That should be a good start. From there, you might wanna start thinkin about nitrous or a supercharger... or a turbo setup as some are starting to do.

You ran a 13.2 with street tires and these mods in a full weight 2v 4.6L GT?

Check that out for the newest 3.73 vs. 4.10 debate. I listed cruise RPMs at 75 MPH for both automatic and manual using 3.73, 3.90, 4.10 and 4.30 gears. Results will vary if your using stock 245s, the numbers I have listed there are with 255/45s (25' tall)
