alright...so im new to the 4.6 lovin' it by the wayand a buddy of mine from Houston as been bugging me for a while to give it what i got against his car...as far as i know he's a rice lover...with maybe an eclipse and a few mods...nothing to big (i hope) so what do you guys think if i went head to head with him and if i couldnt beat himwith my car's currentstate...then how could I...mods?

You cant get an accurate reponse with 'a couple mods'. If he has the turbo'ed model with boost controller etc. he could run right with you if not more.

If its not a turbo'ed version any mods short of a turbo he doesnt stand a chance

like the other dude said....as long as the eclipse isnt turbo you'll smoke his ***.....i've ran plenty of eclipses and havent seen one yet that could keep up. the most mods you see around here are just fart cans lol

My friend has a GST with stuff done to it... runs 14.0's at 103. Would smoke a stock GT from a roll.

yep and to whoever said they have a buddy that runs 14.0 at 103. thats pretty funny because i have a buddy who runs 14.2 @ 100 and something. When i had my 04 cobra completely stock we raced from about a 70 roll all the way to about 125 and it was dead even. He put down 385fwhp with race gas. Thats why i love those cars you need like 900hp to go 12s without some sort of slick or DR.

A few mods does not make a mustang killer. I have a 91 gsx with 550's MBC running low to med. boost and the only mustangs I can beat 90% of the time are 96-98NPI. If I turn up the boost I can hang with PI motors, normaly it's a drivers race. Mustangs do have a lot more torque so it can go either way sometimes. 1st gen turbo DSM's are 12 second cars all day long with a solid car and $800 in mods. Just race him... Most ricers don't understand new wheels and a wing are not mods!

I am not a ricer btw, I just appreciate cars. 4 bangers are mostly novilty cars, and mine is my winter beater.
