How much rwhp can you get out of a fully built v6? If I would sell me stang (hypothetically of course) and bought a V6 I could have a little over 6000 to spend on a sixer. I could get an M90 supercharger off ebay, A built 4.2L engine from Redline Performance, and a split port intake upgrade with new coilpacks and wires, gaskets, cams (535 lift), ported heads, intakes, throttle body, and full machine work. Plus bigger injectors. All of that would cost only a few hundred more than I would get for my stang. Now I would never do this because I am going to be supercharged by the end of the summer in my GT, but how much rwph do you think a sixer like that would be seeing? It would be a good sleeper and probably kick the *** of some GTs.

Well being that M-90s only work with 94-98 setups, you'd be a little pressed making a split port intake work. But let's say you got a 94-98, do all that, except for the intake swap, and do a nice little 11 psi pulley swap, I don't think 400 rwhp would be out the question, run a shot of N2O though it, and you get the picture. The 3.8L essex block is known to be able to handle up to around 700 rwhp before it either needs a serious upgrade or blows, so they have lots of play room and strength, that's the block, not the internals, the internals will blow at around 300 or so rwhp, just like any other motor, although with care and caution they can go up to around 400 rwhp, but I wouldn't do it.

with a few mods and heads/cam/porting pakage, it's not very difficult to get a real 300 rwhp out of a sixer, and the big advantage of a 6 with good power is an excellent weight balance for auto-x over the GT.
In all honesty I bought mine as a DD since I already have a truck that's lifted with all kinds of **** on it and an RX-7 that's fun as hell. The mustang is safe reliable, economical, and not a little civic. But I'm a car guy, so I immediatly started modding it out, and now it's fun to drive too, I get complements on it all the time, espescially when I roll out on GT's. Boy do they get pissed when they realize it's a 6 with bolt ons lol.

Foreal? What do you get paid $11 an hour or wtf? I have trouble paying my car sometimes and I have a sixer, and I think I make decent money for a college student as well.

I would be too... if the 'hood lion' was in a nicer area... I'm not a big fan of working somewhere where even a security guard has a pistol... welcome to norfolk
but seriously... this kid's a tool.
