Default question about oil

on my 99 gt i was thinking about changing to a synthetic oil but my car has about 80,000 miles and i was wondering if this could do any damage to the engine

dino oils have co/\/\e a long way

stick with what you've used

the synthetic *could* cause issues

No synthetic will not do any damage. It will help prolong engine life.

They do have synthetic motoer oil for high milage cars that do help with engine life.

Myth. You can switch to synthetics anytime after the engine is broken in. The only reason not to is if your engine is using/leaking a lot of oil. Then, it's simply economics. Your oil usage will actually go down with synthetics as they do not boil off like dino oils.

correct, however the reason most people tell you not to is because they dont look under your engine.. if its BONE dry - go to syn.. if its seeping, even around the edges... dont switch
