? about tune-ups
My current engine has 108k on it. I bought the car cash with 107k. I only drive it on weekends but I'm wondering about tune-ups. For a car with no mods...would a tune up pretty much consist of plugs and wires (which I can do myself) or can the timing be adjusted to give me the best horsepower and fuel economy? Or should the timing be left alone until you start adding mods? Just wondering.

RE: ? about tune-ups
For the tune-up, I'd advise immediately doing it if you don't know for sure when the last time its been done.
Replace the fuel filter, plugs, pcv valve, tranny fluid, rear differential fluid
Check / Replace the cap, rotor, wires, air filter
As for the timing, you can bump it up anytime - you will get better throttle response and more power... at the cost of running premium fuel.
