Default LOST AND FRUSTRATED

[:@]i got a medium knock not an exaust leak connoctor rods aint bent pistons look good where else can i look

is it a knock or more like a tick? Does it speed up with rpms? Need mpre info.

+1, that explanation is like eating a sandwich that's only bread; sure, it may be okay, but it doesn't satisfy anything...

How do you know it's not rod bearings, wrist pins, or even a bad oil pump?? What about timing chain??

we gonna look more to day got the motor out last night we thought it was a timing chain guard but everything up front looked good drain the oil and water looked at the connector rods on the stand let it drain gonna flip it today dig deeper its kinda a low soundind knock speeds with the rpm

+1 on the spark plugs make sure none are loose.. its happend to me and a few other people on the site

SPARKPLUGS CHECKED OK WIRES EVERYTHING. TEMPTED TO JUST ORDER A ANOTHER MOTOR ALRESADY BUILT

What about drivetrain noises?? Are you sure it's coming from the front of the engine??

What about idler pullies, or the serpentine tensioner??

They're a lot cheaper to check than just swapping out engines..
