4.10 top speed
What is the top speed of a New Edge GT with 4.10's installed?
I know that it is not a dramatic decrease in speed, but I have kids around here that know little about cars and think that my car will top at 100mph with 4.10's. I just want to get an exact number. I was thinking in the 130's.

The truth? You can obtain a higher top speed with 4.10's in 5th gear than you would with 3.27's. Where before you ran out of power to push any faster by having to go to 5th with 3.27s the 4.10's will allow you to keep on climbing.
What they mean: you run out of gear @ 110 or so in 4th.. 5th is worthless for racing/going fast/anything. Right now you can hit 150 or so in 4th... that goes away. but you cant pick up speed in 5th after about 100 as it is right now.

You will not be able to run out of gear with 4.10's.
I used a gear calculator, with a T-5, and it said with 4.10's(stock tires)going 170mph, you would be 6203rpm in 5th.
So with a revlimit of 6250, you could obtain like a mph over that.

Maybe your speedo isn't quite right.[&:] Tachs rarely lie, but speedos are more rarely truly calibrated to be accurate.

Ok so my top speed is just as fast as with 3.27's as it is with 4.10s?
Basically, no matter which gears I have, my car is going to go about 150mph top speed becaue it cannot counter the aerodynamics?

i hit 120 all the time before i let off. when you say top speed dont listen to people who say 160 and stuff cuz thats in 5th gear. itll take sooo long to get that fast and you wont pull worht of **** in 5th gear.
