If you install new pistons & rods... don't get confused.

Sounds like a decent deal. Why does he only have pictures of it in the car? If he used the engine to mock-up a turbo kit and he's done, where is the pictures of it on a stand?

4600$$$. Just cause the car only had 39k which he prob cant even prove dosent mean that those 39k miles werent hard miles!! And the 03 engine cmon 12,500 with 49k?? Beat he cant prove that either thats the only thing i hate about e-bay motors most of them are liars and have no proof of what they say!!

I kinda figured that. It was a joke.
But yeah those 03/04 engine tranny combos are taking a while to come down on price. They are getting a little better because about 6 months ago they were $12-$13k without electronics or anything else. To me it would be better to throw in a few more grand and get the CAMMER from ford with 0 miles.

You could either spend 13k on a stock 03 cobra engine trans and swap the motor, or you could buy:

Novi 2000 Kit: 3700? (ish?)
Shortblock:3500
Cams: 600
valvesprings:200
DIY intercooler: 500
TKO 500/600: 1800~
Clutch: 300
flywheel: 250
Heads: 1400~

Thats a total of 12250 bucks.. I still have room for the new trick flow intake, and I don't need to tell ya what would be faster

You will want to/have to do an exhaust and fuel tankon both seutps, so that price is out, as is the driveshaft for the 03 motor (not required but recommended with a TKO install).

I am also assuming you cannot use the stock wiring harness for the 03/04 assembly. At the very least you would have to rewire the car for the new computer with mostly the stock harness (ugg) or replace the entire harness with a 03/04 cobra one. (PITA)

You can make a pretty good case for keeping a 2v in the car so long as you don't want to exceed about 600-650 WHP on the street with a blower setup. Obvisously a TT 4v setup is going to make more power, but thats a whole nother ballpark in terms of price.
