Default Help my puny auto tranny!

I understand that there are two things to help an automatic transmission keep up with a manual. Stall converter and shift kit. But i am reading up on stall converters and i am understanding that they only help you launch at higher rpms? Correct me if im wrong there. So the #1 thing to make my shifts better would be to get a shift kit? This would make it so that right when i stomp on it it shifts right to the correct gear and takes off? This is what i want so is a shift kit what i need? ...Try and understand as best as possible.. I have been up for 30 hours straight and cant get myself off these forums

Recomended. Are you getting an actuall shift kit or like a tuner that does all that?

So i could get a tuner for just a few hundred more and get the same effect? Or would an actual shift kit work better? ....Is a shift kit worth it? because i read one guys post taht said it was a waste of his money.

No problem mon! I have a buddy that got a high stall and tuner for his auto gt and it works great. Not sure the shift kit is worth it but im no auto expert. Plus you can use the tuner in other places so i say go with the high stall and the tuner and 4.10 gears and you're set.

I have a shift kit on my auto and it is way better than a tuned shift. I've done both.
