Default Tire selection...

Well I plan on buying 18x9 and 18x10 rims for the Mach and going with 295/255 sized tires

I know Sumitomos are the choice for many people, since they are very cheap, but they aren't made for 18" rims (I think), so I was going to get BFG KDW IIs for performance, but the price is a bit high

Any happy medium??--I want sticky and long life, but I also want affordable

But I do a lot of street runs, at random stop lights, even though yeah yeah many people will flame me and don't condone that stuff, but I do[8D]
That is why I want something that will give me good grip on the street, and I don't think radials will be worth it since I'll only make 1 or 2 visits to the strip per year anyways

KUMHO - awesome tires for the price. THeyll perform as good as any michelin, but balance out better.
As for what model you need, look at www.tirerack.com theyll have several to choose from to suit your needs. I put a set of the kumho ecsta's on my wifes car, and shes put 17k with no wear to speak of. And for a woman she drives fairly aggressively.

I have Kuhmo Ecsta(idk how it's spelled) and tye hook pretty nice on the street. From what I've read they also have a decent life span....that is unless you do a decent amount of burnouts like me

plus one i have some mickey thompsons in the garage.

i'm running 285/265/35/18 summitomo htz-r II's, check tirerack thats were i got mine from. something like 680 shipped for all four.i spin like crazy on the street. i would recomend at least 295 for the rear, 285's look a little narrow.
