far cry from michilin, but any ways. why do most people skimp on the only thing between them and the pavement. spend all kinds of money on the power and suspension then put substandard tires that can't even make it into the top 5 comsumer report arcticles. kumho has a hell of a price but no way comparable to michilin sport pilots, goodyear f1, or bfg's
ORIGINAL: P Zero

KUMHO - awesome tires for the price. THeyll perform as good as any michelin, but balance out better.
As for what model you need, look at www.tirerack.com theyll have several to choose from to suit your needs. I put a set of the kumho ecsta's on my wifes car, and shes put 17k with no wear to speak of. And for a woman she drives fairly aggressively.

I'm plannin on going with the 275/35/18 BF Goodrich G-Sport, and the BFG TA G-Force Drag radials in 315/30/18. Should give some decent handling and more good launches.

go with nitto DR's. They lasted me a whole summer of driving on the street and the aboutn 3 or 4 track days. But, for 18's they do get up there. I'm going with these

Yeah those Nittos are great street tires- but the 25+ times I took mine to the track they never hooked up for crap. I was very pleased with the longevity of them, and how they hooked on the street- but when I went to the track, no matter how long I heated them for, or what PSI i ran them at I could BARELY get below 2.0 short times. It felt like I was on falkens or something lol. Once I get some better times with the BFGs i'll be going back to Nittos for street use though!
