i have the kumho ecstas (245/40/18 up front and 275/40/18 rear)...they are pretty decent tires for not TOO bad of a price...i would honestly go with a drag radial though if you are looking to spend in the $700-$800 range

Just bought myself a set of Kumho ECSTA ASX's for driving in rain. They look ok, but not exactly my favorite choice of thread pattern. They look like SUV tires almost, but nevertheless, they sure grip the road nicely in rain.

I got 275/40/17's too with Cobra wheels.

I run the General UHP 245/45/17. I love them. I am on my fourth set and it will probably be the only tire I will buy right now especially for the money. When I put each set on, they tend to roll a little until they go through a few heat cycles and then they feel great. They are also excellant in the rain. Could not ask for a better tire for the price. They hook up pretty good too.
