i was in the same boat your in now. i had 2 grand to spend and what i did is this

bbk longtube headers-550
vt stage 1 n/a cams-535
2 17x9 rims-200
2 m/t et streets-400

total-1685

i used the rest for the header install...if i could do it again id either go nitrous or save a few more bucks and get a supercharger. i do not regret the route i took though. the car sounds and performs awesome.

if you do happen to go the nitrous route, your next step should be suspension work cuz you are going to spin like a mo fo, do you still have stock tires?
Naw man, I have a set of old Bullitt rims with some drag radials on them for the track. Other than that I have Nt555's on a 10" rim

sounds like rice killer took a nice route with his 2 grand...maybe do the cams, longtubes, midpipe, and some suspension??

that way you're getting some power, but putting that power to the ground (most important)

Yea I originally was going to do the cams and longtubes, but the cost of install and the tune would put me well past 2 grand I think* also I'd have to get a new mid-pipe and a tuner... A new suspention would be nice though!

Really nice nitrous setup and some basic suspension like weld-in full length SFC's and some LCA's.

I was at the same spot and just spent a little more on the SC. I gained a few ponies and am happy with the results....

Ok let me ask you guys this. My dad doesnt want me to get nitrous for the fact that when I go to sell the car in the future, if somebody finds out about the nitrous, they will walk away. Can I take the kit off in the future? Easily

Yes. And if you go with something like a Nitrous Express plate kit you won't even have a hole in the intake tube to explain/cover.

Ok final question lol, with an awesome tune and me being very smart with nitrous, is there any chance that I could seriously mess up my engine? or is that when you abuse it?

you can mess up your engine with any power adder...YES, the tune is very important and most of the times will keep your car from ever going, but you always risk the chance when adding f/i
