Default somethings wrong!!!

I think something is seriously wrong with my 03 gt... everytime i hit the brakes when im going between 50 and 65 mph, my steering wheel shakes a lot... this has been going on for a few weeks... and nowwhen i just drive between 60 and 65 mph, the wheel shakes a little... what could be wrong. one of my friends said he thinks my brakes might be warped but why would it shake when i dont hit the brakes... and if im going over 65 and less then 50, thee is no shaking at all... i have no idea...

It could be the rotors, or.....well i forget the name of it, the rod for the steering.

Its your rotors buddy. Goto Advanced, and buy pre-cut rotors. Slap them on, and problem solved. Basically the heat warped your rotors, and they are uneven now. If you have a manual downshift more often when comming to a stop. If you have an auto theres not much you can do.

Rotors or tie rod sound like what it might be...does the car pull to the side while braking

you brake rotors are warped.. time for some new ones

EDIT: also.. make sure the lug nuts are torqued down to the specs right for the vehicle.. if not, that can warp your brake rotorsover time...

time for new rotors. it might even be your tires. are they rated for high speeds? thats what happened to a buddy of mine. right when he hit 60 it started shaking bad. but im pretty sure you'll need new rotors.

Rapid or high speed braking really turns up the heat and can warp them. You ever watch nascar? They show the red hot rotors all the time.

my tires are z-rated so i dont think its them... im gonna try changing my rotors and see how that works... i really hope its not tie rods or anything else with my suspension cause that could get expensive... any i dea how much new rotors cost???
