Default Has this happened to anyone else's auto gear shifter?

This happened to my mustang i had before this and about a month or so after i bought this one it happened again. am i just unlucky? who or how could i fix this. It's the small plastic piece that moves with the shifter. It's also what shows what gear you're in. It just broke off and fell down inside. It's been broken for a while but just recently it's been starting to bug me.

I can still see the little orange thing but it's lodged too far in. B&M hammer shifter? I'll have to check it out.
