Default Question bout PCV Valve

Got an 02 GT and a couple months ago my car would stall, took it to a ford dealer and they said the problem was that my PCV valve broke and the hose connected to it collasped. This isnt a problem that i hear happening to people on a regular basis so whena couple weeks ago it started doing it again i started thinking that it had to be more than that. I'm taking it back to the same dealer that fixed it the first time, but before i do i was wondering if this has happened to anyone else?? Does anyone have an idea of what else it could be before i take it back??

The most common problem for people that experience there call stalling is the Idle Air Control Valve (IAC) getting clogged. You should remove it and clean it out with carb cleaner and then spray some WD-40 in it after its clean.... Seemed to work for most people. Any leak thats allowing extra unmetered air into your engine will cause your car to idle roughly and have an inconsistant idle. But those symptoms could be the cause of other things. But I had a problem with stalling and I took off the PCV valve and blocked off the lines coming from each valve cover and put breather filters on both valve cover and it didnt cause any drivability problems or stalling. So I dont think thats your problem... Try cleaning your IAC and quit wasting your money at the dealership... Unless its under warrenty
