Default Wheel spacers with 9" wheels

Is there any reason not to use some 1" wheel spacers on the back to push out my 9" rims flush with the rear fender?

Spacers are not a good idea, get a wider rim or just live with it.

Ok...The Law of Physics eh....well, I wouldn't want to break that law. Might you present more of a Mustang Forums answer like, "they make your tires wear outfast" or "I had a friend who's wheels fell off".

I think that they cause the offset of the wheels to be thrown off, causing problems with the rear end, potentially causing the bolts that hold the wheels to the axles to bend. Do a search and you may find something a little better than that. Of course, I could be completely off.

well, the first reason that comes to my mind, is that you have to get MUCH MUCH longer studs in order to use a 1 inch spacer, as a 1 inch spacer leaves you with about .....1/4 inch stud at most. and your wheels are most definantly more than 1/4inch thick

The spacers bolt to the existing studs and provide new studs for your wheels. After a couple of hours reading, I can't find anyone actually having a problem with this type of billet aluminum.

I have 9 inch wheels all around it it looks just fine. I have the replicas from the 2007 Shelby GT500, they look freakin awesome, I can't post a picture because it always says its too big.

I run 275 40 17 all around it it looks awesome.

And I used the same spacers on my old 1969 Mustang when I installed 1996 17 in. Mustang GT wheels on them, never once had a problem with them.
