Default headers

Hi im new to this site. I have a 99 mustang gt. and im looking to buy some long tube headers for my car. I only have about $400 to spend. I just don't know what long tube headers to go with. the one's in my price range where MAC, BBK and C.A.M. Are C.A.M. headers any good I found them on ebay?? and one more thing should I go with an X pipe or H pipe with or with out cats. thanks.

I'm also curious about the C.A.M. headers. They are VERY affordable and are Stainless Steel, I believe. Just need someone to vouch for them!

I think either MAC or BBK are fine. If you are short on cash, wait for a used set on ebay. I got my MAC headers and H-pipe for about $300 shipped. I have heard that H-pipes give a deeper sound and x-pipe are more raspy race sound. You should go with no cats if you don't have an emissions check in your state because it will be cheaper.

Don't forget about getting them installed unless you can do it your self. I got a qoute for $350 to do the LT's and H-pipe. I think that is pretty good. Some people will recommend getting aluminum or copper gaskets and locking header bolts so you don't have a leak which is additional costs.
