Default Getting Tuner

Hey all, im gonna head over to VMP tomorrow, and pick up an Xcal-2 Tuner. Any tips, tricks, or things i should know before i start messing with my car?

if you advance the timing you have to run higher octane gas 93... if you dont know much about cars dont mess with the a/f ratio...

Well I'm not completely sure but on the VMP site i think it said that it comes with 3 custom tunes. I pretty much narrowed it down to the 3 i would like/use most. 93-oct performance, 87-oct performance, and 87-oct mpg.
