For you people who installed LT's without removing the Kmember
Alright... new tranny is going in tonight/tomorrow. I gotta remove atleast one long tube. Which side is easier to remove (passenger i thnk). Also do you just jack the engine up?
I really do not want to have to remove the kmember which is what i did originally.

yes passenger is easier. i don't think you can jack the engine up while the k-member is on. i think your going to be stuck removing the k-member again[:@]

I didnt even know you could install/take off longtubes without droppin the K. I know we had to on the my old mach. And yeah the passenger is def easier because there is no steering column/rod.

I would drop the K-member it's only 8 bolts. It would make the whole thing a lot easier.

i put my long tubes on WITHOUT TAKING OFF MY K MEMBER. there are the two motor mounts. just onebolt for each. unloosen the driver side one dont take it comp. off (the bolt that is) take the pass. side off all the way. you are going to need to drop your ac pump. to get the starter off easier. once those two things are off jack up the engine with a cherry picker. oh dont forget to have car on drive on ramps. and once the engine is tilted they come off easy as hell. dont bother taking it out just take all bolts off of it.
long tube headers CAN be installed without taking off k member.
