Just received my Densecharger and looked at the first step which says to make sure all the parts are there. Well I dont have a fender cover plate but it looks like I have two fender well L-pieces. One of the fender well L-pieces has 4 bolts and nuts at each corner and has a wider opening the other one does not have any bolts and nuts and has a little bit smalled opening. I'm not sure if I'm missing some parts and they gave me an extra piece or what? I can get pics if needed of what parts I have.

 

Hmm, that sucks man, I would call them up tomorrow and ask them WTF is going on.

 

You need the cover plate

 

I didn't put the cover plate on my car, is that a problem?

 

Come on man, go put it on. It makes it look nicer and it keeps all the hot engine air away from the filter a little bit more.

 

The carbon fiber plate is a part of the dress up kit which is exta $$$ You sure that was part of your order?

 

IF you dont get the carbon fiber upgrade you still get a black plastic plate. It helps to hold the densecharger in place in the fender and like was said earlier keeps the hot air out..

BTW - if you really wanna get the best outta that densecharger then cut the bottom of the fenderwell area below the filter out - not the part by the tire but the bottom and you'll get alot more fresh cooler air in.
