Have you considered looking for an area shop that re-chromes parts?

Well, what i am going to do is use my favorite color (purple) which matches and offsets the color of my car (black), then detail the engine bay with accents of that color. Powder coat the covers, paint a couple brackets, use wire loom of that color etc. Makes the engine bay look sharp. I have a white 73 vert, and I used Ford light blue in the engine bay with black bracketing, makes the whole thing pop when you open the hood.

Ford red does look good but idk if it would go with my whole engine bay. . .My coils are yellow (Accell) already and so is my battery (optima yellow top) so idk if it would off set them too bad
