Also, the stock MAF is awesome for anything you can throw ay it short of FI. If you go FI, switch to a Lightning...if you go really radical FI, go with an SCT Big Air.
I was told to go to a SCT MAF. No? So a stocker will outflow aGMS 80mm? That doesnt make any sense.

That's kinda a loaded question.

Yep, the nitrous will affect the MAF, but if you are tuned for it...you'll be okay. I am running my stocker on the juice.

Hey,

got paged had to go fix some machines. Well alot of good info while I was gone. I'm a little disheartened that I'll only be at 290 with all the crap I'm doing. I wanted at least 310n/a. These cars really are dogs to hot rod.The problem I have with VT cams is that the rpm range for the stage 2 cams are way too high for my needs. and the stage 1 are the same specs as the comp cams. I will probably have the shop doing my heads custom grind one for me.

Stay stock or go to a Lightning 90mm for about $80...When you get over the 400-500hp level the SCT 2400 is perfect. I wouldn't use any other MAF on a modular.

I think stock is 80mm. I am not familiar with the Hardballr intake (I will have to check it out). With your other mods..I would do some VT cams, too many PTV issues with Comps. For HP...depends on the dyno, but I have given up on dyno #'s, just use it to check your A/F is good. I am guessing you should be in the 290 range.

Well that settles it, you just saved me a couple hundred bucks. Just out of curiosity what is the stock size MAF? You are the N/A power guy so let me ask you with the mods that I listed before ( I forgot will have a Hardballr manifold as well) where do you see me coming in whp wise? any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hey code,

Actually its not a bolt on car. I'm having at least stg 2 porting done to my PI heads, either a compXE270 cam or a custom grind, full exhaust and then all the bolt ons. I would like to get 310-320 WHP n/a if possible. I might get a more radical port job. With this info is an MAF and injectors a gainer?
I run the stock MAF that came on my car. I had it calibrated through the tune for the 30# injectors I am running.

It is. The stock is 80

I though the Stock MAF was under 80mm. But you can use the stock maf with a Mafia extender and it would be good, I have a Lighting maf.
C&L makes a good one also
