Default Best bang for buck mods?

My neighbor has a 2001 Roush Stage 1 auto. I know at ls1tech there are stickies that let you know what are good mods to do and not to do. I'd like for him to not make the same mistake as me and wasting a couple hundred bucks that I shouldnt have. I told him he should check out this site, but hes lazy. I figured cai and headers would be a good start. For some reason he went to this performance shop and the guy told him not to put headers on if he was going to go the fi route. I immediately thought the guy was a tard, better flowing exhaust equals more power. How would he get into the 350-400 rwhp range, aside from nitrous?

lol, you edited your post right when I said nitrous.

He WILL NOT get to 350-400rwhp without a turbo, supercharger or Nitrous.

nos, gears and tires. Best mods you can do to your car without spending a ton of cash.

Stage 1 is Appearance, Stage 2 is Handling, Stage 3 is SC.

nos= a brand of nitrous.

best bang for the buck will prolly be gears. get 4:10's. dont even bother with a cai. catback wont give you any power gains but will make it sound sweet. a midpipe will make it sound better and will give some power.
