OK.....heres the deal.....I currently have an 02 manual GT. The only work I have done to it so far is cold air intake, and cat back flowmasters. I'm about to get about 50gz from a settlement pertaining to an injury that I got at work. I need to know what I should do to make my car run low 12's.
It has about 82,000 miles on it now. I bought it with 50,000 almost 2 years ago. I didn' t know the previous owner, so I don't know if they are hard miles or what. The 30k miles that I added to it are not hard driven miles. I mean, yeah, I've done my share of street races vs camaros and imports, but I haven't really dogged it. I don't know how it was driven the first 50k tho.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Personally I think that you should do something smart with the money like invest it. But if you want to make your car that much fasted FI is the only way to go. Build up the engine<Forged crank,rods,blah blah the whole nine yards. Then get a nice super or turbocharger setup. Now that you are forged no worries with the turbo + it will make bigger gains then a superchager. Add maybe a 50-75shot of Naaawwwss <dont overdo it. With all of what I listed you will have one bad stang!!

ok heres how you do it. Find a 03/04 cobra, then spend 2k on mods on the cobra, then sell the gt and youll have a 11. second car.

Also throw in a stage 2 or 3 clutch. There are gonna be alot of little things you are gonna need like colder spark plugscolder thermostat, possibly a upgraded udp etc. etc. THE MOST IMPORTANT MOD OF ALL is a good tune!!

With minimal amount of money so you can do something else with it. All you need is suspention (Uppers/lowers, sub-frames, springs etc.) and a power adder such as nitrous or supercharger. Get some drag radials as well. With some practice you will be well into twelves.

Thanks for the input guys!!! I was kicking around the idea of just having a new motor built for it, and get gears and beef up the rear end and suspension.

Well, My car got picked up this morning and is on its way to my moms friends brother's speed shop in New Jersey. I gave him 10gz and told him to do what ever he felt was the best thing to do with that kind of money. He'll probably have it for 1 1/2 -2 months. I'll let ya know what's up when I hear something.
