Default Nitrous NEWB!

Well, after long, and hard thinking, I've decided I wanna get on the juice. There is a couple of things I want to do first, 4.10 gears, and DR's are definately priorityright now.

But on to my questions.
-What all would I need to safely run a 75-100 hp wet shot on my 2001 GT?
-Any accesories I should look into?
-I know the traditional push button nitrous, is a thing of the past. So what all is needed for a complete kit now-a-days?

My car definately has more than avg. miles on it, but i wanna prove that the 4.6 can last. So I want this kit to be as safe as possible.

And lastly, If you guys could throw me in the dirction as to where i can find this stuff at a good price, i would greatly appreciate it.

Nitrous express or Zex are popular brands. Some guys will say wet is safter, some guys will say dry is safer. A dry shot will not puddle in the intake and risk blowing the plastic intake to bits. A dry shot is injected before the MAF WITHOUT the fuel, so if your use too big a shot, there is a chance that the injectors and fuel pump will not be able to keep up and you could go lean.

With that said, it's safe to run a 100shot or less on the 4.6, but make sure you get your car tuned. Also gonna want to get spark plugs that are one step colder.

Make sure that the kit you get has:
- WOT switch
- RPM window swithch (for manuals)
- Bottle heater.

Thats pretty much all the knowledge i've got to give! I'll be adding a ZEX 100 - 125 shot on my GT this spring. Havent decided on wet or dry yet.

I see that a bottle heater was mentioned. I plan to mount the bottle in my trunk, in Florida's humidity and steaming weather during summers and even the winters. Would I still need one?

Basically what I want out of the car is consistent mid-high 12's. While still getting good MPG and daily driverreliability. Do you guys think a 75 hp shot would get me there with a set of DR's?

I say still get the bottle warmer.. You want bottle pressure to be consistantly around 900 psi so you can get the "full hit" from it.

It shouldnt hurt to be around 1100psi. Anywhere from 900-1100 is gonna be a full hit. 1100 is gonna be better.
