i got a spec 1 and the pedal is lighter than stock. Its chattered real bad at first but its calming down and chatters a lil bit now. Not a bad clutch but i would go with king cobra if i were you. Hey RBStang hows the chattering in your spec clutch? I just wanna see if im alone or not

you're not alone. i had a spec 1 clutch and spec aluminum flywheel put and and it chattered real bad for a few days them calmed down. it still chatters when it let it out at real low rpms but if i let it out above 1k it fine

i have the king cobra, the pedal is really stiff and when it engages it'll jerk your head back pretty good. i like it though. the girls can't put on makeup in the car unless their going to the circus..haha
anyways, prolly not what your looking for. and make sure that you break it in for like 500 miles or so. i had a friend with a prelude and he didn't wait long enough. his car would make this shrieking noise when he would cruise in first gear.

so what about some aftermarket flywheels? is there a big differnece between the OEM and an Aftermarket Flywheel? would it be worth it to get an aftermarket one with a new clutch Kit?

i have spec aluminum flywheel but i spent a pretty penny on it... 104k... might be able to resurface the one you (im going on the assumption its been replaced) other wise you can A) buy an aftermarket one B) buy stock oem one C) resurface the one you have. With the aluminum fly all i have really noticed is that the engine seems to rev up faster.
what would be a good aftermarketflywheel? or would it reallymake a differnece between a OEM and an Aftermarket one?
apparently the aluminum flywheel frees up some horsepower. the only thing ive noticed it revs up faster then stock fly cuz its lighter weight... IMO it would be useless to get the steel spec flywheel considering that oem one is steel.

The HD King Cobra clutch which I have requires a heavier pedal pressure than stock. It's stiff let me tell you that.
